The office of Bloemberger holds a secret. Mathias Thomas has the perfect life working as a reporter in the city and living with his gracious girlfriend, Zoe Greenway.
However, when he finds a stripy sandwich in his office, he begins to realise that things are not quite as they seem in the Thomas family.
An all hands meeting leaves Mathias with some startling questions about his role, and he sets off to the dark basement to find some answers.
At first the people in the basement are smart and considerate. He is intrigued by the curiously sympathetic manager, Laura Butterscotch. However, after she introduces him to a hidden tunnel, Mathias slowly finds himself drawn into a web of mystery and perhaps, even murder.
Can Mathias resist the charms of Laura Butterscotch and uncover the secret of the stripy sandwich before it’s too late, or will his demise become yet another Bloemberger legend?
